RCMP officers are currently investigating a shooting in the Forest Hills Parkway area of Cole Harbour. One individual has been transported to hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening. There is no public safety risk at this time; however, residents will observe a significant police presence as officers continue with the investigation.

The RCMP/Halifax Regional Police is investigating the shooting incident in Cole Harbour and is seeking information from the public. On November 13th, at approximately 3:45 a.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment and EHS responded to a report of an injured man in the parking lot of a store located in the 0-100 block of Forest Hills Pkwy.
Upon arrival, officers were informed by the man that he had sustained a gunshot wound. The officers administered first aid until Emergency Health Services arrived and transported the 31-year-old Cole Harbour resident to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No additional injuries have been reported. It is believed that this incident was not a random act and, at present, there is no risk to public safety. The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the RCMP/HRP Integrated General Investigative Section.
